Located in White Hall, this cedar cottage serves as an office and guest house. Sugar Hollow Builders designed and built the cottage to provide owners outstanding views of the Blue Ridge Mountains both from within and from the ample wrap-around porch. Hardwood floors throughout the cottage were harvested from Appalachian forests by Augusta Lumber (located in Waynesboro) through the Sustainable Forestry Initiative program. Cedar was used for the exterior not only for its natural beauty but because it is one of the most durable woods when exposed to moist conditions. Windows in the gables and a skylight above the living area bring in additional natural light.
